I bought the magic jack about a year ago and I still have not paid any bills for it. I’m still on my 2 year trial period. I’m actually really happy with it. I have about one year to decide if I want to keep it or not. But if I decide that I want to keep it I only pay 20 bucks a year! It’s a crazy deal. You don’t realize how much you spend on long distance calls because you probably pay a small payment every month. But I calculated the difference between small monthly payments to one 20 dollar payment a year. I’m really saving. You wouldn’t believe it.

Originally, my friend tried to convince me to buy the magic jack. I told him I already have a good long distance plan. I thought I was getting a good deal when I was paying only 2 cents a minute for long distant calls. But once we sat and calculated it, I realized make long distance calls quit often so those 2 cents a minute add up to much more than 20 bucks a year.

I did my research, it’s the cheapest rate out there now. And once a cheaper offer comes out, I will just cancel my payments for the magic jack and go for the cheaper deal. I like that I don’t have to pay a separate monthly bill for the magic jack, Its one yearly payment. I pay 20 bucks once for the rest of the year and I don’t have to worry about anything else. I don’t get any junk mail from the company, just my bill.

I don’t know about the rest of you but because of the situation with the economy these days, I can’t refuse any deal that would save me money. I have a lot of family around the world and it’s important for me to keep in touch with them. They expect to hear from me and I like to stay connected. With the magic jack I can talk for hours and I don’t have to wait till 9 pm when my nights are free on my cell phone. When I wait until that late to call the time difference is often a problem.

The magic jack works just like the regular home phone. So I don’t have to worry about dropped calls like I do with my cell phone. I have really bad service at home so I was barely able to get through a conversation without being hung up on. It was really annoying. Now that I have the magic jack, I still get caller ID and call waiting. It lets me know when I have a voicemail which is cool because I never had that. I had to press the voicemail button and listen to all my old messages in order to find out if I had a voice mail. I haven’t run into any problems yet with the magic jack and I’m assuming I won’t in the future because it has already been a year since I bought it. I can’t imagine anything going wrong. It doesn’t fail on me. Buy the Magic Jack
